This is the most important disclaimer on our site. Read it before reading anything we publish about peptides, GLP-1 medications, or related treatments.

Our coverage of peptides and GLP-1 receptor agonists (such as semaglutide and tirzepatide, sold under brand names including Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, and Zepbound) is journalism and education only. It is not medical advice, not a prescription, not a treatment plan, and not a recommendation that you take any of these substances. See also our Medical Disclaimer.

We do not tell you how to use these drugs

We do not, anywhere on this site, provide dosing, titration schedules, sourcing instructions, reconstitution or mixing instructions, injection technique, or any other practical guidance for using peptides or GLP-1 medications. Those decisions belong solely to you and a licensed clinician who has evaluated you in person or through a legitimate clinical telehealth encounter. If you see that kind of how-to instruction anywhere, it is not coming from us, and following it can be dangerous.

FDA status — stated precisely

The regulatory status of these substances is specific and changing, and we try to describe it accurately:

FDA-approved products (for example, brand-name semaglutide and tirzepatide products approved for specific uses) have gone through the FDA’s review for safety, effectiveness, and quality. “Approved” applies to a specific product, manufacturer, formulation, and approved use.
Off-label use means a licensed clinician prescribes an FDA-approved drug for a use other than the one the FDA approved. Off-label prescribing is a clinical decision made by a licensed prescriber for an individual patient — not something a website can authorize.
Compounded versions of semaglutide or tirzepatide are not FDA-approved. The FDA does not review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are sold, and compounded versions are not the same as the FDA-approved products. As of 2025, the declared shortages of semaglutide and tirzepatide have ended, and compounding is permitted only under specific, limited legal conditions.
Investigational, “research-grade,” or “not for human use” peptides (for example, products sold online as research chemicals) are not approved for human use. Buying or using them can be unsafe and may be unlawful. The FDA has issued warning letters and taken enforcement action against sellers of these gray-market products, and a “research only” or “not for human use” label does not make a product safe or legal to use.

We will tell you which category we are discussing, and we will not blur the line between an FDA-approved medicine and an unapproved or compounded product.

No outcome promises — and no “works like Ozempic” claims

We do not promise weight loss, fat loss, or any health outcome from any peptide, GLP-1 medication, compounded product, or telehealth service. Individual results vary, these drugs carry real risks and side effects, and they are not appropriate for everyone. We do not claim that any compounded, generic, or alternative product “works like,” “is the same as,” or “is equivalent to” any FDA-approved drug — claims like that have drawn FDA and FTC enforcement, and they are not ones we make.

What our telehealth links actually offer

Where we link to a telehealth or healthcare-access provider, here is precisely what that link does and does not mean:

The link offers you access to an evaluation by a licensed clinician through that provider’s platform. It offers access to a professional evaluation — nothing more.
It does not guarantee that you will be prescribed anything, that any treatment is right for you, or that you will achieve any particular result.
It is not a recommendation of any specific drug, dose, or product, and it is not medical advice from us.
