Stop Belly Fat publishes educational information about dietary supplements. The statements on this website about supplements and their ingredients have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Any product discussed here is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Supplements are regulated as food, not drugs
Under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA), dietary supplements are regulated as a category of food, not as drugs. This means the FDA does not review or approve supplements for safety or effectiveness before they are sold. Manufacturers — not the FDA — are responsible for the safety and labeling of their products.
What our supplement coverage is and isn’t
When we describe a supplement or an ingredient, we are summarizing publicly available information and published research about how that ingredient may support normal body structure or function. We do not claim that any supplement will produce a specific health outcome or amount of weight loss for you. Individual results vary, and no result is guaranteed. The published evidence for most over-the-counter weight-loss supplements is weak or mixed, and we try to report that honestly.
Talk to a professional first
Supplements can interact with medications and may not be appropriate for everyone, including people who are pregnant or nursing, have a medical condition, or take prescription drugs. Talk to your physician or pharmacist before taking any supplement, and read the product’s label and directions.
